RBC Local Plan Consultation

Thank you to everyone who came along to the drop-in at the Village Hall last evening.

If you missed the event, you can view the draft Local Plan, and have your say, via this link:

https://www.rugby.gov.uk/lpconsultation.

Residents should be aware that a new site for 1500 houses has been proposed south of Rugby off the A45 (‘Lodge Farm’). This replaces the ‘Walsgrave Hill’ site in the Green Belt adjacent to Combe Park, which was put forward in the first draft of the plan. Lodge Farm will have a much lower impact on Binley Woods and the surrounding roads / amenities.

However, the Stand Against Lodge Farm Village protestors (www.salfv.org) want RBC to take Lodge Farm (which is not in the Green Belt) out of the Local Plan and revert back to the land next to Combe Park.

If you wish to object to any development in the Green Belt near Combe Park, please email RBC at localplan@rugby.gov.uk:

“I do not support the Walsgrave Hill site being allocated as it is in Green Belt and next to Combe Park.”

Add your name, address and postcode

Or please go to https://www.rugby.gov.uk/lpconsultation and respond on-line.
