Parish Plan Launch Meeting

Many thanks to all who attended the Parish Plan launch meeting on 29th September (sorry about the heat!) and to those who put their name forward to join the Steering Group. It was an impressive turnout and if you know of family, friends or neighbours who also came along please pass on my and Paul’s thanks to them.

21 residents have volunteered to join the Steering group, which is a fantastic response and is an ideal number to take the Plan forward.Another 17 residents volunteered to help out with delivering survey questionnaires, etc so we will be able to share the load around the village. I will be contacting those volunteers shortly to welcome them on board.

Unfortunately, we did not have enough hand-outs to go around so I have attached a PDF version for those of you who were unable to collect a copy.

Parish Plan Launch Meeting Handout

We have set the date for the first Steering Group meeting as Thursday, 27th October at 7.30pm and have booked the Morrison Room at the Village Hall and we look forward to seeing you there. Please can you let me know whether or not you will be able to make it.

If you volunteered for the Steering Group but now have doubts concerning joining it, I would urge you to attend the first meeting and then decide whether or not you wish to continue. The more residents that are involved, the better the plan will be.

If you are aware of other residents who might be interested in joining the Steering Group but were unable to attend last evening, please do ask them to get in touch.

We will be sending out an agenda for the first Steering Group meeting a little nearer the time, but in the meantime if you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch on 02476 540422 or by e-mail.

Best regards,
